Yes, you read that right. This is how to stay at 5 Star hotels for half the price, and the simple answer I have for you is HotelTonight. If you are unfamiliar with HotelTonight, it is a mobile app and website that provides last minute hotel deals at discounted rates. Why are the deals so good? To put it simply, HotelTonight works by listing the leftover rooms at a low rate, this is so they can still try to fill up the hotel when there are leftover vacancies at the standard rate–and as you’d imagine there are almost always vacant rooms, thus endless great deals on HotelTonight.
There are definitely specific methods you can use for booking, which we can get into in another blog, but the main thing you should get out of this is to always check HotelTonight. It has allowed me to stay at the Santa Monica Proper in Los Angeles (as shown above), for half the price, along with many other amazing places.
HotelTonight definitely works better for last minute booking, as you can only use it to book so far in advance, however there is a hack to make it work even if you’re not taking a spontaneous trip.
